About Me

This site was created to share my life; my life filled with failures, disappointments and successes. Why am I here? I live and do the same as others and I wonder why I am here? Starting this blog at age 55, I am nearer to death than I have ever been, but yet feel I have so much to accomplish and much more to experience. In my 20s I had many years of therapy to deal with depression and of the many things I learned, one still stands out: there are many other people that are not much different than me. Most of us have average lives, filled with disappointments and failures and through life we have issues to deal with due to events and other people and with ourselves. So, what makes my life more special than others? Well nothing really. The difference is this is my life that I am writing about. Maybe someone else can relate, and with my writings it may help them with their life. Then again with my writings, maybe I am just helping myself.

  2. Hi! Glad I found your blog! Always love connecting with other Encore Voyagers (that’s what we call this ‘too early to be really retired’ gig!) I gotta ask, although I’m sure it’s been posted earlier – “Why ‘Spearfruit?” Just wondering…

    • Hi Lynn, I am glad we connected also. I will be hopping back over to your blog to read more about you and Jeremy. Thank you very much for following my blog. Interesting you ask about ‘Spearfruit’ – I have some recent posts where I am revealing my indentity, and will reveal where ‘Spearfruit’ came from in a little over a week – stay tuned! :)

  3. Hi Terry, in playing blog visitation catch-up this weekend I noticed today that it appears I never left you a comment on your “About” (hangs head in shame). My only excuse is that I’m also 55 and the memory isn’t as sharp as it once was. At any rate I’ve been following you for a while now and we’ve exchanged comments however I wanted to properly introduce myself. It’s a real pleasure to meet you. ~Steph

  4. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I also wanted to say you are not alone, and your life has meaning because it is, well, your life. I have had similar challenges, and I always find it helpful and encouraging to find others who are finding worth through writing. I look forward to following your story.

  5. Looking forward to reading more of your blog. Everyone does have successes and failures in life, but not everyone speaks about the failures. Although I wouldn’t say we have average life’s we all have different experience and contributions to make. Thanks for stopping in past my blog.

Just making efforts to link in with fellow bloggers to improve our followers and get the word out there for us both. I would appreciate you having a peek at my blog, as I have published several posts. Feel free to like, comment, follow or just take a peek. Thank you:)

  7. This brought tears to my eyes. I had been let down by many who weren’t worth my trust(Misplaced Trust).
I did nothing but study & work hard throughout my life(from my childhood till now when am in my thirties) but am not living the life of my dreams. What was done to me can fill books, you can’t imagine what was done to me.
One thing am sure of is the following;God din’t create us without a grand purpose,& didn’t put us here on earth to be sad, abused, harmed, angry, sorry or to be disappointed,he made us for a reason & to fulfill a certain purpose, may he guide us throughout this journey & make us live a life that is well lived as human beings, amen.

  8. Hello:) We used to follow each other😉 But I deleted my old blog site (dreamkatcherblog.wordpress.com) and migrated my posts to a new domain (I just bought it the other day hihi). It’s now loveafterlove.net:) I’m visiting all of the authors I have followed before and give everyone a notice. I hope to maintain the connection. Have a nice day!😉

  9. Hello, you shared a lot, but I am glad you did. I started my blog at the age of 51. I was encouraged by my students to share my thought blogging. This has opened a new area of my life. Keep sharing.
