Common adult symptoms of ADD – Emotional Difficulties

  • sense of underachievement
  • doesn’t deal well with frustration
  • easily flustered and stressed out
  • irritability or mood swings
  • trouble staying motivated
  • hypersensitivity to criticism
  • short, often explosive, temper
  • low self-esteem and sense of insecurity

I HATE EMOTIONAL DIFFICULTIES

Every symptom listed above I have experienced in the past and many of them I continue to experience in the present. Of all the symptoms related to ADD, the emotional difficulties are the worst within me.

I HATE EMOTIONAL DIFFICULTIES

I literally hate these symptoms and they have caused much pain for me and others in my life. For many years I felt a sense of underachievement and at times still do. Still today, I currently display frustration, irritability and mood swings. I continue to exhibit hypersensitivity to criticism, low self-esteem and a short explosive temper.

These symptoms have plagued me all my life and continue to do so. These symptoms have drove me to attempted suicides and resulted in many troubled relationships. Over the years I have broken many objects due to my temper exploding with fits of rage. It is extremely tough for me to admit, but my rage sometimes manifests into a physical form on others and in the past on myself.

I HATE EMOTIONAL DIFFICULTIES

I hate these symptoms and they scare me. They scare me because they take control over the gentle, kind, caring, loving part of me and like a monster will destroy everything and everyone.
