Magnificent

Unlike Angelina Jolie as Maleficent, my mom would be the total opposite twin sister; Magnificent.

About Maleficent per Wikipedia.org –

She is characterized as the “Mistress of All Evil” who, after not being invited to a christening, curses the infant Princess Aurora to “prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die” before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday.

Wow, I am so very glad my mom is the good twin!

About Magnificent per thefreedictionary.com –

  1. Splendid in appearance.
  2. Grand or noble in thought or accomplishment.
  3. Outstanding of its kind; excellent.

Yes, this is my mom, my teacher, my savior, my lifeline, my listener, my catcher, mom.

Starting from a very young boy, throughout my life, and still today, my mom has played an important role.  You can read more about her in my post ‘Thanks Mom!’, and in upcoming posts I will reveal the significance of my mom in my life.

In my series of posts ‘Thoughts From Years Past’, I am telling the story of my life from a boy to a young man and the stresses, the pressures, the burdens, the afflictions in my mind, that build to the most momentous event in my life.  There was one incident where my mom was there for me and will be told in tomorrow’s post ‘Thoughts From Years Past.18’.  Tomorrow’s post reveals my mom as a savior to me and my sons.

That significance that my mom plays in my life from a boy to a young man is eventually intensified when I need her the most, the event that changes the course of my life and the years that follow.

My mom is splendid, grand and outstanding.

But more importantly she’s understanding, unconditional, accepting and loving.

This is my mom ‘Magnificent’.
