Conversations in my head

I talk with myself in my head quite often.  I guess maybe this is part of being human?

Sometimes a title comes in my mind about a post I want to write.  I usually write the title down then later will write a post, with some titles I know exactly what I want to write about.  Some titles I have no idea what to write and just start writing – and my writing will create the post.  With this title ‘Conversations in my head’, I had no idea where it would lead me to.  Sometimes I research my title simply by performing a search on Google using the specific title and the results help take me in the direction I want to go.  The Google search took place and I read articles about ‘the little voice in your head’, ‘inner speech’, ‘inner dialogue’, ‘imaginary conversations’, ‘head conversation’, ‘borderline personality disorder’, and so on.

Then the conversation in my head starts –

As I wrote in my first paragraph, sometimes a title comes in my mind about a post I want to write.  I usually write the title down then later will write a post, with some titles I know exactly what I want to write about.  Some titles I have no idea what to write and just start writing – and my writing will create the post – as it did with this post.

  1. I just had to smile at this! I know what you mean – it happens to me all the time. There are days my mind is blank, or days when I plan to write one thing and end up writing something completely different. Hugs to you my dear!!!

  2. Lynn’s question reminded me of something I’ll leave for a comment of sorts…did you guys see the “controversy” regarding Target making a sweater with OCD on it? Apparently it stands for “Obsessive Christmas Disorder.” I know some people believe we have become too politically correct in this country and I’ll leave that for others to discuss another day. My thing is…why would anyone at Target even “go there?” Does anyone actually THINK before designing something like that…”hmmm, maybe we can come up with something…anything else?” I don’t know if I actually think in balloons or not but my blogging process is I kick some ideas around in my head for a day or so, choose one and go for it. No turning back!

  3. Reblogged this on TheTurtleWay and commented:
Our dear friend over at spearfruit.com got into my head today and was kind enough to beautifully illustrate what is happening there most of the time.
Believing this is not exclusive to spearfruit and turtle heads I would like to share it with all of you my Turtlies and invite you to hop over to spearfruit’s blog where you will find other great posts written from his soul.
    Turtle Hugs 🙂
