I wrote in my post ‘to expose me‘, the following –
Now over 8 months later I have realized fellow bloggers are supportive of me and have welcomed me with open arms and appreciate my writings. Because of this I decided to expose myself, my identity, to you my fellow bloggers. But a course I am not doing it all in one post, I still have 3 months to write a post a day.
So I will write a series of posts to expose me – my identity to you and the blogger world.
In today’s post I write the following –
In past years I have documented my thoughts at different times throughout my life by writing them down and by voice recording. For no particular reason, I usually did not continue the documentation; but these documented thoughts are fragments of my life, that are being brought together here on my blog. Back in 2009, I made a voice recording where I speak about where I am in my life at that time. I have a need to write a book, to write about my life, my struggles from years ago and those that continue to exist today.
Here is an excerpt from that voice recording from 2009, several months after my 49th birthday. This voice recording is part of my ‘to expose me’ series; this is me – my voice –
Terry. Thank you for that glimpse into your voice! It’s so surprising! I hadn’t realized you tawked wid a southern accent! It’s so cute and gentlemanlike! You sound so kind!!

Oh Catherine, trust me, my voice sounds worst than that. That was early morning while drinking coffee – I sound my best. By the end of the day – OMG – you would want me to shut up. Thanks dear, happy Tuesday! 🙂

It’s funny as I read blogs I tend to read the words and hear them in my head in what I think the other person sounds like. I never imagined your voice had a Southern accent even when I found out you were from Dallas. Now, I will read your words with the accent in my head so it will sound like you reading it.

Yes, my southern accent can be strong at time. I have had some people make fun of it on several occasions. But, it is my voice and I live with it. Thanks for the comment, always appreciated! 🙂

I know I have an accent. Years ago I worked for a company and I had customers from all over the country. I realized listening to these people and listening to myself on the phone, my accent was strong. Thanks David for reading and commenting, I hope your day is going well. 🙂

Great idea! You sound very young here Terry and very much like what we would call a “Cowboy” 🙂
I hope you have been able to work on these issues and the book has come along slowly but surely….. Unless of course I missed something….?

Thanks Cameron, the book is on hold as I decided to blog about my life first. Many of my experiences and events are in older posts here on my blog. As always, I appreciate your comments. 🙂

Hell, yeah! What a pity we both have husbands and a different orientation. You would have had me at “Hello”. 🙂 Curiously my other two gay boyfriends sound similar (both from Texas). The content of the recording was very poignant. You can hear my dulcet tones on this Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDcYSls9F8s. I shaved my hair off to raise money for free mammograms in Houston.

Lovely voice Kerry and lovely shaved head! I was born, raised and lived all my life here in Texas, so I guess I have the Texas voice. Appreciate your comment as always! 🙂

Why thank you, #1! #2 was raised in Austin and #3 in Corpus, so subtle differences but still sexy drawls. Accents can be so powerful.
