Yesterday we left Dallas, Texas for our new temporary home in Pensacola, Florida.
Excited to be moving forward, we also have some sadness.
Our house that was a home was full of memories, times, events and furnishings.
Yesterday we left our house that was a home, a house we left empty.
A lovely slide show! Thank you for sharing! Yes, a big empty house, but you traded it in for the open road! Once you’ve recovered, I can’t imagine how many wonderful adventures you two are going to have!! And I can’t wait to read about them!!

Thank you Paula, big empty house and now a 5th wheel RV. We arrived here in Florida a couple of hours ago and are settled in – life is good. Hope your day went well for you! 🙂

Very nice slide show Terry ! A beautiful and spacious house , your partial sadness in leaving it is perfectly understandable .
But your smaller house looks quite beautiful also and it moves 😉
Wishing you a good second day on the road and safe arrivals 🙂

Shame Terry, I am sure leaving was bittersweet. You had a beautiful home, with beautiful memories. Loved seeing Max with Roxy there together. Moving was a huge decision, and now is the start of a new chapter. I wish you well always, you know that. Hugs x

What a bittersweet slide show. First showing the way you had it all decorated and loved and lived in and then the task of packing up – SO ORGANIZED by the way!! 🙂 – wow – I felt a little sadness. BUT – onto the next wonderful chapter. Just told my hubby you guys are on the road. Thinking of you and sending big hugs from Mars! xo

Life is full of choices. Sometimes in order to say yes to something new requires a no to something else. Your new home might be much smaller, but your plans and future are much larger! I am glad you are in Florida safe and sound! I hope you have some relaxing days ahead! Take care!

It really was a beautiful home but it was time for a change. We all feel burdened by too much stuff as we get older. Somehow, the bigger the house is, the more we feel the need to fill it up. How many vases will you need in an RV???

No vases are in the RV!!! And no pool to clean, no yard to take care of and no big house to clean! Life is good, hope yours is as well! 🙂
