Rain, Rain, Bring on the Rain

I am in Pensacola, Florida for a little over a week now –

I have seen more rain than sun –

Here is the forecast for the next 10 days –

In the coming days there is more rain than sun –

I am feeling better due to medication I am taking for pain and discomfort –

The constant rain and gloomy weather makes it difficult to smile and be happy –

I will remain optimistic and upbeat, because this is what will help me through the storm taking place in my life at this time –

So bring on the rain –

This too shall pass –

From the theboot.com website article Top 10 Country Songs About Rain lists this song as # 6 –

“Bring on the Rain”

Jo Dee Messina and Tim McGraw

We’ve all been at the end of our rope, ready to just give up, and a literal storm on a dark day can be just enough to push someone over the edge — but Messina, with help from her producer and friend Tim McGraw, reminds us that it’s just a little water, and we’re thirsty anyway. This defiant anthem preaches taking things one day at a time and remembering that this, too, shall pass.

  1. So much stormy weather! It’s taken a turn for the stormy side here in Utah too. I agree, stormy weather makes one very hard to smile and be happy. This is one strange summer, at least here it is. 🙂

    • Lynne, the weather here is very wet – record rain – and expecting more for the next 10 days! Oh well, I know it will be followed by sunshine – and I can look forward to that. Thanks dear for being here today – I hope everything with you is well! 🙂

  2. I love the rain…being from the Olympic RAIN forest…LOL where we got an oaverage of 180″ a year, pretty sure at one time I had web feet….I have always felt the rain helped washed away out woes, so to speak…to stand out in the rain and let it wash over you, cleanse the soul….what a wonderful feeling, at least for me….some of my most favorite days are the dark, dreary ones, with a fire in the stove and a pot of soup on the stove….don’t get me wrong, the sunshine also has its magical benefits for life….but don’t count out what the clouds and rain can do for you…glad the pain is manageable for you….xxxx embrace the rain my friend, for it may help you heal….kat

    • I do enjoy and embrace the rain, but after a week of it with no sun – I have a little bit of cabin fever! The sun did peak out for awhile this morning, then the rain came a pouring again! Tomorrow less rain – yippie! Thanks kat, I always enjoy your comments – they brighten my day – even on the rainy ones. 🙂

  3. Be grateful you are not in Houston, TX. It is blisteringly hot with very little relief. I can’t remember when it was last under 100 degrees. Phew! Salt Lake City had perfect weather, mid 90s, breezy with no humidity – yay! Glad to hear that you are taking the medication to help with some of the symptoms.
