Will I be pretty; will I be rich – what lies ahead; will I have rainbows – will I be handsome; will I be rich?
Well yes, I think I am handsome, I think others think so. Rich, maybe in the plentiful, abundant life experiences sort of way. And, I don’t know what lies ahead; except possibly a surgery, followed by rainbows?
You see, whatever will be, will be.
I was born 56 years ago to a pretty mom and a handsome dad. As I grew so did my dad’s business and so did the riches of wealth.
I did not know until my 20s, what lied ahead for me. There were the many years of destruction in my mind to abuse and depress and weaken that spirit that was given to me by my parents.
The depression years; the self-decreed self-inflicted death sentence. The future was not mine to see, whatever will be, will be.
A rainbow created by reflection, retraction and dispersion appeared in my mind of that time.
There was a rainbow, created from a mind’s storm; a storm so violent, its intensity swelled to overcome and destroy all that was in its path.
But the future was not mine to see, whatever will be, will be.
So the handsome, once rich of wealth, lived through a storm and saw the rainbows, day after day.
And with life experiences plentiful and abundant; whatever will be, will be.
For the future’s not mine to see, except possibly a surgery and an outcome, you see?
I was born 56 years ago to a pretty mom and a handsome dad. As I grew so did my riches of a plentiful, abundant life experiences.
I don’t know what lies ahead, except maybe a rainbow?
That storm of decades ago, that violently swept through my mind, created a strong strength from within.
The strength of endurance, the strength of mindset, the strength of perseverance.
urbandictionay.com has the following –
que sera sera
This is Spanish for “what will be, will be.” This is something you say when you are stuck in a hopelessly unchangeable situation, but have come to accept, or even embrace the unchangability of it all. This is similar to the phrase “it is what it is.”
The ending lyrics to the song “Que Sera, Sera” made famous by Doris Day –
Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours to see
Que sera, sera
What will be, will be
Que Sera, Sera
Well yes, I am handsome, I think others think so. Rich, maybe in the plentiful, abundant life experiences sort of way. And, I don’t know what lies ahead; except possibly a surgery, followed by rainbows?
You see, whatever will be, will be.
Que sera, sera
The future is not ours to see…GA. Mountain Hugs.

Good piece, Terry. In 1956, aged 14, I spent a fortnight in an eye hospital. This was playing all the time. I still know it by heart

What beautiful writing. What will be will be, but you have the gift of being able to write about it.

Yes, what will be, will be. No-one knows what the future will hold. All I know is one should make it the best it can be, which I know you will 🙂 Hope all is well with you today and that you are well rested. Hugs my friend. 🙂

I absolutely adore that song and used to sing it to my daughters when they were growing up. Que Sera, sera is Spanish but is almost the same in French (Ce qui sera sera) and I use the expression often there too. You are certainly handsome, you are rich in many ways and you are loved. Those are your certainties. What is ahead is a mystery to all of us. I wish you a rainbow with a pot of gold there for the grabbing!
