December of last year had Gary and myself on a cruise ship in the Eastern Caribbean.
Our last port before returning to Port Canaveral, Florida was Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas.
There were 5 cruise ships docked that day and within minutes of each other, it was time to depart.
Here is a quick video of that Departure.
Not much of a race! Tee-hee! The clouds are beautiful, like a water color painting.

They took their turn and no boat was in a hurry, it was quite a site! Thanks Paula, I appreciate you stopping by today – Happy Friday my friend. 🙂

It was very cool, our ship was third to leave and after we were out for awhile, I could still see the other ships far off in the distance. Thanks Lynne, I am feeling good today, and a lovely day to you as well. 🙂

It was beautiful and fun to see one ship after another leave and the perfect night for it. Thanks Osyth, hope you are doing well. 🙂

I’m very good indeed, Terry. I potter around this city (which is very alien to me … being in a city!) and feel generally very very fortunate.

It is Terry – I think you would like this city very much …. it’s relaxed yet lightly buzzy. It suits me and mostly urban doesn’t suit me too much these days 🙂

It has always amazed me that those huge pieces of metal could stay afloat. I always wanted to go on a cruise but nobody ever had time to take me. Now…I’m “skeered.” LOL

They are amazing huge ships and I agree, how do they stay afloat? Take one Laurel, I think you would love it! Happy Friday Friend! 🙂

LOL. I didn’t even like getting into our swimming pool. I must have drowned in a previous life or something…I don’t believe in reincarnation though….and I didn’t believe in it the last time I was here, either.
Hugs to you and Gary. 🙂

It is a busy place with all the cruise ships all at once. We all left one after another, it was very cool. Thanks Van, I always appreciate your comments. 🙂

Very cool! I think I would worry about an accident in that situation – but at least you’d be close enough to shore to swim back in!

We all left in an orderly fashion, I guess they have done it many times before. It was all very cool – thanks Sarah. 🙂
