So heartbreakingly poignant and beautifully wrought. If the tears need to cascade, then let them. This song was playing as I read your post, so I send it to you with love https://youtu.be/ZtNU616XqQk πΉ
Beautiful poem and I can imagine expresses just how you feel this day. Crying is actually a good thing that releases tension from fears, angst, anger, and a perceived loss of self as you were before the onslaught of this disease. My heart goes out to you. If you know some healthy mantras, this is the time you need them. Mine is, “Never Give Up, Never Give In, and Never Surrender”. I would just get so mad at the cancer that was trying to take my life and I would say, “Hell No! and “Okay, give me your best shot, but you won’t get me.” That is how perverse I was and still am. Hang in there, get angry at this monster. By the way, have you ever tried Reiki? It is healing energy by qualified practitioners. It did wonders for me and certainly can’t hurt. Just a suggestion! Karen
My pleasure to help in anyway I can. Count me on your side and gather as many fighters that are pulling for you in a healthy way. Visualization techniques, like envisioning the cancer cells being killed, slaughtered, by every force you can possibly think of helps too. I was vicious in my pursuit of killing this invader into my body and that is what it is – an invader. I know, I may sound a little over-the-top, but I didn’t know any other way to fight it. Karen
You have many shoulders here to cry on, we’re here whenever you need to do so, tissues at the ready. We also wrap our virtual arms around you in the biggest, loving hug you can imagine π
I hardly know how to comfort you, Terry. Everything I can say seems so trite in view of what has happened to you. May the wind always be at your back and may your steps not falter in the search for meaning and good.
Let them flow…sending love to comfort you today and every day.

When you are no longer able to shed tears, it means you are emotionally dead.
Cry me a river. It’s okay.
