Preparing the meal for the big Christmas Feast!
Preparing the meal for the big Christmas Feast!
Heading to Orlando to join rest of the family for Christmas.
Hey all trying to redo this blog video. For some reason the last one I send wouldn’t play at your end. Hope this one works!
To continue my night of social events this past Saturday evening, I left about mid way through the Christmas / House Warming Gathering at my good French friend’s home (Christophe’) in Clearwater, Fl where I was having such a wonderful time with all the French nationals living in the area and then got back on the road and drove for another 30 min over to Seminole, Fl where the Tampa Bay Advenruers group were having a very lively party hosted by another one of my friends named Andrew. Andrew always goes way out when he throws a party!!
As you know…”Tis’ the Season” and so often all these gatherings unfortunately can occur on the same evening…so I do my best to make the rounds so I can get to spend some time with each of my groups of friends as much as possible.
There was also another group that I belong to that was meeting that same evening for a Christmas event at the Largo Botanical Gardens, but it was just way too hard to fit that 3rd event into my evening. Sometimes just too hard to attend everything ! Oh well.
I hope you enjoy all these fun videos I took from party # 2. The TBA group always throws festive parties and yes…they can get a bit wild! I’ll admit I get right in there with the best if them!
One of the fun things we did during this party was to have a belly dancing contest. First a competition among some of the men and then after, a group of women competed. I took 1st Place in the men’s group! (See Video 4 below..don’t want to miss this one)!
We even got a snow storm that evening here in Florida so why not have a snowball fight! (See Video 11 below). We get a bit imaginative !
After eating all the wonderful food and treats from these Christmas events, I’m starting to feel like I’d be a good candidate to fill in for Santa. Soon I won’t need any belly padding if I continue to indulge on all this Holiday food…Ho Ho…Oh no!!!
Have a great rest of your week!
Had a wonderful time last night attending one of two parties. This one was a house warming at one of my French friend’s home in Clearwater, Florida.Christophe and is wife are do nice and it was a privilege to share a nice evening with them and other French friends in the local area.Christophe is so amazing! He has an air-conditioning business and during the cooler months, he and is sons buy an older home and totally gut and rearrange the place and make it so impressive. In less than one month, they have done so much in this new place of theirs! They are so amazing. The French food was out if this world and the wine was flowing.I couldn’t stay for the whole event as I had a second party to attend as well. This is such a nice group of people and I am so glad to have them as my friends! Will write and post about the other event later today or tomorrow.Have a great Sunday
Hey all..I think I left think I left this off the last post I did! I’m so bad…especially since Polish is my National Heritage!!
You all know my passion and joy with mingling and socializing with my great International friends. I was in my element on Thursday evening (Dec 5th) This International event was coordinated by all the International military attached here on MacDill Air Force base in coordinated operational support to the Central Command (Centcom)
This was an evening that each group of International soldiers and their families could showcase their culture and wonderful food to all Amwrixan military and their families assigned to Centcom.
This event was not open to the general public or other military groups on MacDill AFB. However, I had the privilege of receiving a special invite by my 2 star French General friend to attend as a special American friend of the French Coalition group!
I absolutely loved the event! It was so much fun, especially since I have gotten to know so many International Soldiers stationed here and over the past year and half, I have been helping them and their families with advice and suggesting interesting things for them to do in and around The Saint Pete and Tampa area. I’ve kind of transitioned into an American Liaison to them all and have tried to show them good old American hospitality. I want to ensure they have a favorable impression of American people during their short stay here. I love helping them and can relate to most of the places they’ve come from since in my earlier years I was so well traveled and spent time in many of their homelands.
Enjoy all the fun videos I added here.
Here’s a little of the surrounding area to my new potential condo.
Hey all, Sorry I haven’t posted much the last several weeks. I have been keeping pretty busy lately as I have been considering purchasing a condo central to Tampa. St Pete and the beaches
This video shows a condo I am going to put an offer in this afternoon and see what happens? Wish me luck. It’s about a 20 minute drive to downtown Tampa, St Pete and the beaches and the whole surrounding area is super clean and well manicured. Time will tell?
Still can’t post still pics on wordpress which is another reason for not blogging much because I can’t add new pics until I delete older pics from past blogs. Some day time permitting I will do this. I have so many events to share with you, but for now I can only post you tube videos I did to get around this limitation. Have a great weekend!
