Departure

December of last year had Gary and myself on a cruise ship in the Eastern Caribbean.

Our last port before returning to Port Canaveral, Florida was Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas.

There were 5 cruise ships docked that day and within minutes of each other, it was time to depart.

Here is a quick video of that Departure.

Festivals & Saturdays in the Park

The end of summer and start of fall last year had Gary and I attending festivals in the surrounding area.

This was back before my body began to experience the pain that started in December.

This was back before my body went through surgery.

This was back when I felt better.

My hope is soon Gary and I will again attend some festivals & Saturdays in the park.

Sunrise Offered

Sunrise offered a very beautiful spectacle; the water was quite unruffled, but the motion communicated by the tides was so great that, although there was not a breath of air stirring, the sea heaved slowly with a grand and majestic motion.

I took this video several months ago, early one morning to watch the sunrise.

It had much to offer me.

Since my surgery I have yet to walk on the beach, it is waiting for my return.

One day when feeling a little better I plan to take a walk on the beach again.

One day when I am recovered I plan to watch another sunrise.

And take in what it has to offer.

Roxy is excited

Hello everyone –

As many of you know I am very late on responding to comments this week – and for that I am sorry. I will try my best to catch-up this weekend.

I ended up staying in the hospital until yesterday – and now am resting comfortably at home.

Gary and I are excited for me to be home, but I think Roxy is the most excited.

Hallway Walking

I have a personal blog goal; that is to post every day and since the beginning of my blog, I have met this goal.  Knowing I was having a major surgery and the days following would be difficult for me, I scheduled my posts for this past week and disabled the comments.  I do not like to disable comments, because I certainly enjoy and look forward to your responses.  But, I knew ahead of time I would not be feeling well enough to take the time to properly respond to all the wonderful comments I receive.  I appreciate each of you allowing me to disable comments this past week.

A short video about how I am feeling and how my recovery is taking place.

Comments are enabled today and I will do my best to respond in a timely fashion.  I may be a little slow at responding, please be patient.

Big Day Monday

For over a year now, a long road has been taken to bring me to this point in my life.

A few words before the day –

Big Day Monday

(Note: my reference to the weather in Florida does not pertain to the whole state because a large portion is sunny and warm this time of year.  I am currently located in Pensacola, Florida and yes, it certainly does become cold here this time of the year)

Rocket Man

Back in November of last year, in my post ‘Moment of Silence‘, I wrote the following –

I mentioned in a previous post, the Blue Angels home is NAS Pensacola, and their hangers and headquarters are located directly across the street from us.  They practice every Tuesday and Wednesday and let’s just say, our 5th wheel at times shakes when they jet across the sky just above us.  This past weekend they ended their season here at the NAS.  The NAS Pensacola Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show was held just across the street and the area was overflowing with people.  Gary and I are fortunate we are near as we could view the airshow from our current home.  We did take the opportunity to walk over to the air show and visit the vendors, performers, aircraft displays and other attractions.

In today’s post, I follow up with the following –

The following are highlights of video I took of the Blue Angels.  First, I apologize for the quality of the video – I am not a pro.  The first part of the video with the blue skies was taken one day while the Blue Angels were practicing.  The second part of the video with the cloudy skies was taken the day of the airshow and the third part was taken later that evening.

I hope you enjoy my video –

Year End Boogie

Hello everyone, this post is a Video Log post related to Boogie Blogging.

What is Boogie Blogging – dancing, moving to music, making a fool of myself, creating laugher within you.

I like to dance and I like to move; movement is good for all of us.  Why not have fun while we are moving?

It you like the music with my videos, you are welcome to get up and move or dance with me!

Let loose, let’s have fun, let’s do some Boogie Blogging.

NOTE: I have not made a Boogie Blogging video in many months and for a good reason.  Remember I have a urethral stent from my right kidney to my bladder.  With lots of movement, this stent causes irritation and results in blood and clots in my urine.  I decided with the end of the year, I would do one more Boogie Blogging because very soon, the stent will be removed as well as my bladder.  I want to have one more dance to celebrate ending the year with a bladder.
